Interior demolition and strip-out in Bordeaux, before renovation
A strip-out takes your home back to its structure; targeted demolition knocks down a partition wall or clears a bathroom of its old fittings. It is the first step of your renovation, and it prepares the way for all the others.

We strip your home back to its structure and clear away the rubble.
Before any renovation, NS BAT 33 demolishes whatever needs to go, in homes and shops in Bordeaux, Cenon and the neighbouring towns. Partition walls, floor and wall finishes, sanitaryware and the original kitchen leave with their rubble, and you get back a clear space, ready to be rebuilt. Demolition covers a single room or the whole flat, as your project requires.
Full renovation, a bathroom or kitchen to redo, a home damaged by water: each of these projects starts with demolition, scaled to what is changing. It then makes way for the plumbing and electrics, which follow the new layout, then the partition walls, finishes and painting.
With NS BAT 33, demolition and rebuilding come under the same contract: the move from demolition to the next trades is organised for you, and a single point of contact answers your questions. Our head office, on the Right Bank of the Garonne in Cenon, is 5 km from the centre of Bordeaux and very close to Bouliac.
Demolition
What the work includes
Strip-out back to the structure
Everything goes except the structure: partition walls, suspended ceilings, finishes, old pipes and cables. This bare shell lends itself to a new room layout as well as to brand-new pipework and wiring.
Knocking down partition walls
We knock down the partition walls your new layout removes, whether brick, plaster block or plasterboard on studs. Two small bedrooms become one large one, a dark hallway joins the living room.
Removing fittings
Bath, shower tray, basin, WC, kitchen units and worktop are dismantled item by item. Each room is cleared for its future water supplies and new cables.
Removing floor and wall finishes
Once worn tiles, tired parquet or carpet have been lifted, the original base reappears, and the walls lose their wall tiles. These bare surfaces are ready for the finish and paint of your choice.
Clearing the rubble
Removing rubble, old fittings and demolition waste is part of the service. You are left with empty rooms, cleared of everything, ready for the next stage of work.

Why choose us for this work
Demolition planned with the next steps in mind
We demolish already knowing your project: each opening makes room for the new partition walls, pipes and cables that will follow.
What you love stays in place
A cement tile floor, a marble fireplace or period doors you want to keep are noted from the outset: demolition stops where they begin.
Premises stripped back
For a shop or offices, the strip-out removes the previous occupant's fit-out: your business moves into a blank space, organised to suit your needs.
How we work
How the project runs
- 1
You describe your project
By phone or with the online form, you tell us what you want to transform. We call you back to pin the project down: the rooms involved, your priorities, the timing you have in mind.
- 2
An itemised quote
Demolition, plumbing, plastering, painting: each job has its own line and its own price. You see exactly what you are paying for and decide with all the facts, before you sign anything.
- 3
Each trade in turn
Demolition opens the project, followed by plumbing and electrics, partition walls, floors, joinery and painting. We organise this sequence: each trade starts on the finished work of the one before.
- 4
Handover, room by room
We go over the work with you and record any snags on the handover report. That date starts your guarantees: one year for completion (garantie de parfait achèvement), two years for equipment (garantie biennale), ten years under the builder's guarantee (garantie décennale).
FAQ
Demolition: your questions
What is the difference between a strip-out and demolition?
A strip-out covers the whole home, whereas demolition can be limited to one partition wall or one room. A strip-out suits a full renovation, when you are rearranging the rooms or redoing all the pipework and wiring. Targeted demolition is enough to open up a kitchen or renovate a bathroom. We decide together, plan in hand.
What happens to the sockets and pipes in a partition wall that is knocked down?
They move to another wall. Before knocking down the partition wall, we cut off the water and power running through it; sockets, switches and water supplies then find their new position according to your plan, even before the new partition walls go up. A socket can move from the demolished wall to the opposite one, at the height that suits you.
Can just a bathroom be demolished?
Yes. The demolition is then limited to that room: the bath or shower tray, basin, WC, wall tiles and floor go, along with their rubble. The bathroom renovation then moves on to plumbing, waterproofing and the new finishes. A kitchen is dealt with in the same way, units and worktop included.
How much does interior demolition cost?
The price depends on what is being demolished and what has to be cleared away: a brick or plasterboard partition wall, glued tiles or floating parquet, a ground floor or an upper floor with no lift all take very different amounts of effort. Demolition and removal are priced separately: the budget is settled before the first partition wall comes down.
