Your rooms restored from drying out to repainting, after water damage.
NS BAT 33 takes charge of restoring your home after water damage, in Bordeaux and Gironde. We monitor the drying out of walls and ceilings, then redo the plastering, electrics, floors, tiling and painting, whether in a bathroom, a kitchen or any other room affected. Your home is put back the way it was, with one quote and a single point of contact.
A leak from the flat upstairs, an overflowing washing machine, a concealed pipe that gives way: water follows floors and partition walls, and a single incident often damages several rooms. The quote covers them all, from ceiling to skirting boards, trade by trade, so nothing is missing from your claim.
You stay in control when dealing with your insurer: you are the one who sends them our repair quote, along with your photos. If they appoint a loss adjuster, the adjuster will find in us a contact who knows every line of the quote and can answer all their questions. Compensation then follows the terms of your policy.
Water damage
What the work includes
A quote by room and by trade
Ceiling, partition walls, electrics, floors, painting: we price each affected room, trade by trade. The insurer and the loss adjuster can read the detail of the work, line by line, for a price that matches the damage found.
Removing damaged materials
Waterlogged plasterboard, soaked insulation, peeling finishes, lifted parquet boards: we remove whatever cannot be saved and clear the room. Opened-up walls breathe and dry out better.
Finishing once everything has dried out
Plastering, tiling and painting come after the walls, ceilings and floors have dried out. A wall closed up while still damp holds the water in: the stain comes back, the paint blisters, the tiles come loose.
Plastering and electrics
We rebuild partition walls, wall linings and ceilings, replace soaked insulation, then the sockets, switches and light fittings the water has reached. Circuits in the affected rooms are redone before the walls are closed up.
Floors and wall tiles restored
Parquet, soft flooring, floor tiles or wall tiles: we redo the finishes the water has damaged, removing and refitting sanitaryware or units when we need to reach the wall or floor behind them.
Final coat and handover
Skim coats and paint remove the last traces of the incident from walls and ceilings. You sign off the repairs at handover, and the water damage is just a bad memory.

How we work
How the project runs
- 1
You describe your project
By phone or with the online form, you tell us what you want to transform. We call you back to pin the project down: the rooms involved, your priorities, the timing you have in mind.
- 2
An itemised quote
Demolition, plumbing, plastering, painting: each job has its own line and its own price. You see exactly what you are paying for and decide with all the facts, before you sign anything.
- 3
Each trade in turn
Demolition opens the project, followed by plumbing and electrics, partition walls, floors, joinery and painting. We organise this sequence: each trade starts on the finished work of the one before.
- 4
Handover, room by room
We go over the work with you and record any snags on the handover report. That date starts your guarantees: one year for completion (garantie de parfait achèvement), two years for equipment (garantie biennale), ten years under the builder's guarantee (garantie décennale).
FAQ
Water damage: your questions
Can you redo a ceiling stained by water damage?
Yes, once the leak has been fixed and the ceiling has dried. Depending on its condition, we redo the skim coat or replace the damaged plasterboard, then repaint it. If water has run as far as a light fitting, the electrics are redone before the ceiling is closed up.
What should I do if water has reached the electrics?
Switch off the affected circuit at the consumer unit, and do not use any wet sockets or light fittings. Once the walls are dry, we replace whatever the water has damaged and redo the affected circuits, before closing up partition walls and ceilings. This item appears separately in the quote you send to your insurer.
What happens to parquet that has been soaked?
It dries out first, then we assess it board by board: those that have stayed flat are kept, those that have swollen or come loose are replaced. The floor is then reworked to get an even surface back. For wall and floor tiles, we replace any that sound hollow or are coming loose.
Do I have to wait for the loss adjuster before work starts?
For the repairs, yes: work begins once your insurer has approved the claim, after the loss adjuster's visit if they send one. In the meantime, we draw up the quote and you keep your photos and receipts. Turning off the water and moving your belongings to safety should be done straight away.
What if the water came from next door?
You make a claim with your own insurer, who then settles the matter with your neighbour's insurer. The joint report form (constat amiable) you fill in together describes where the leak came from and which rooms were affected. On our side, the repairs to your rooms go ahead in exactly the same way.
